The wine estate that produces Legacy & Worth Chianti Riserva, is located in Vinci, a small medieval village where the famous Leonardo da Vinci was born. Situated in the well-known Chianti wine region, just 20 km from Florence. This beautiful estate, that lies behind Tuscan sunsets and flanked  between olive groves and vineyards, covers approximately 250 acres. The richness of this land and the fertility of the complex soils represent a microcosm of incredible variety. The winery story started in 1978 when founder, Primo Fanciullacci, selected the best plots of land in Vinci, where he planted vines that would benefit the most from the extraordinary microclimate of the area.

The Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes for the L&W Chianti Riserva are carefully harvested by hand, followed by a further selection process in the cellar. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature with maceration on the skins and gentle pressing, allowing for excellent polyphenolic extraction. The wine then ages in new French oak barrels for around 36 months, with further aging in the bottle.
